At the Aurora Farm Field Day, the Farmers Datalab highlighted farmer-led innovation. Louis outlined the program’s mission, Katie shared survey results showing over 83% of NY farmers experiment annually, and Alex introduced the 2025 campaign on adjusting nitrogen in corn after cover crops.
Here we are waiting for the wagon tour to leave so that we can start!

4H Students Look into Digital and Precision Agriculture
On June 27th the Farmers DataLab hosted a group for the NYS 4-H Career Explorations - Diverse Futures in Food and Agriculture. This group of 16 smart students asked very good questions about how precision agriculture can help improve the way we farm. We even had one student ask how they can get started in studying digital agronomy. This question made my day!
